My Mission

Growing up, I experienced many difficult transitions in my life that were often met with anxiety and insecurity.

As a child, my family made several big moves that uprooted my life and challenged me to adjust to new surroundings.

I also experienced many small transitions that are common to most young people; transitions such as entering into adolescence, navigating different friend groups, and going to a new school. It was often these smaller transitions that were most difficult to overcome.

From social anxiety in high school to feeling uncomfortable in my own skin, I had to conquer my own insecurities to become my authentic self.

My experience growing up has allowed me to be genuine and courageous, and has helped me to understand and identify with internal discomfort in others. We all have times where we don’t feel like ourselves (due to anxiety, depression, coping with difficult life circumstances or insecurities, etc.) during some period in our lives, whether through adolescence, or navigating our various roles in life, etc.

In my current practice I enjoy working with teens and young adults (age 12-45) who are entering into adolescence, going away to college, coping with job stress, navigating relationships, etc. With certain transitions come issues of anxiety, depression, stress, as well as challenges with self-esteem, anger, or uncertainty. We will work together to address your life challenges and create more awareness, as well as explore strategies necessary to become more confident in yourself and in managing your life.

My past experience includes working in outpatient community mental health, both in an office setting and within the homes of my clients experiencing severe and persistent mental illness as well as working within a hospital setting as a behavioral specialist in a long-term facility for children and adolescents. I have been working in private practice for the past 6 years.

I continue to stay abreast of current developments in my chosen areas of focus to best serve you.

I offer services to individuals age 12 and up.
